TWO St Albans county councillors have provided Verulam Community Radio with new computers to replace outdated equipment.

Allan Witherick and Chris White, both Lib Dems, allocated £500 and £250 respectively to the volunteer radio station from a fund available to all elected members for local projects.

Councillor Witherick said: “The radio station provides an important outlet for community information. It is important that it has the equipment it needs to be able to continue broadcasting and encouraging people to get involved in local projects and organisations.”
