THE bid to evict the Robb family from the yard near Colney Heath they have illegally occupied for almost ten years remains on track, contrary to other reports.
The Review reported last week that the district and parish councils were hoping a High Court hearing on Thursday would give the go-ahead to clear the Green Belt site with bailiffs without further delay.
But it has been reported elsewhere that the family yesterday won leave to appeal against an earlier High Court ruling overturning temporary five-year planning permission.
However, the Review has established that in fact Mr Robb was refused leave to appeal.
District councillor Chris Brazier, who has spearheaded the battle to enforce planning law on the site, said: "His request was turned down, so we are going to the High Court on Thursday."
