THE headteacher of St Albans School has been quoted in a national newspaper today slamming parents who take the "moral high ground" for choosing to send their children to the best state schools.

Andrew Grant, who is chairman of the Head Masters' and Headmistresses' Conference as well as head of the independent school in Abbey Gateway, attacked parents in a Times article.

He is quoted as being “irritated” at mothers and fathers who send their children to schools like nearby St George's School in Harpenden, rated outstanding by Ofsted, and attacking parents in general for taking the moral high ground over his own customers.
