TWO people escaped injury after the car they were travelling in burst into flames in Welwyn Garden City.
One crew from Welwyn Garden City was called at 7.30pm on Tuesday, March 16 to the A1000 Great North Road close to the A1(M) roundabout.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to tackle the blaze which is believed to have started accidentally.
The two people involved were not injured.
