THE adventures of a thrill-seeking Harpenden cat can be followed on popular social networking site Facebook.
Daredevil Nancy is a regular at her local supermarket, casually browsing the aisles, but is more known for hitching a ride in strangers' cars or repeatedly popping through other residents' cat flaps.
As the Review reported at the end of last year the six-month-old's thirst for exploring the streets of the town has sparked concerns with her owner, Melissa Tredinnick, who fears her Nancy could end up in trouble.
A Facebook page named after the cat, Nancy Tredinnick, has been set up for people to follow her footsteps.
The latest entry reads: “Was out all night. Waited in the park this morning as per usual for someone to phone home for me.
“Lady who finally obliged and had the cheek to say I was 'acting strangely' by following her and her dog. Thought my behaviour wasn't normal apparently.”
Updating the Review on Nancy's latest adventures Melissa, of Marquis Lane, said: “She has no signs of growing out of her teenage tearaway behaviour. In fact quite the reverse. We generally receive phone calls on average three times a week from people who have been followed by her and can't get her to leave their home.
“She visits all the pubs within a two-mile radius of us on a regular basis, especially at the weekend, and has also been to the Tesco Express and Co-op supermarkets on Lower Luton Road.”
Melissa said Nancy's other highlights include a trip to the Coldharbour Lane Allotments Society and the Harpenden Air Cadets.
She added: “At this rate I think we're going to end up with an ASBO.”
