A PROPOSED hotel complex on Green Belt land in Chiswell Green looks likely to be refused planning permission when it comes before councillors on Monday night.
Planning officers have recommended refusal of the scheme to build two hotels on the site south of the A414, currently occupied by several disused buildings.
The application is opposed by St Stephen Parish Council, which argues the project's backers, who include former St Albans MP Kerry Pollard, have exaggerated the demand for hotel rooms in the area.
