KENNY Jackett believes Theo Robinson’s desire to prove Huddersfield wrong will inspire the striker to become a scoring sensation at The Den.

Robinson has been linked with a move to Millwall since the start of the year but finally joined the Lions on a three-month loan deal last night after falling out of favour at the Galpharm following the arrival of Alan Lee.

The 21-year-old is expected to feature against Nottingham Forest on Saturday and Jackett is hoping to exploit Robinson’s disappointment with the Terriers to the full during his stay.

He said: “Theo Robinson will join up with the group tomorrow. We will have a look at him and he will have a look at us on loan.

“His pace, directness and hopefully goals will help create some competition in a position where we have a few injuries.

“He is obviously right out of the frame now at Huddersfield with them signing Alan Lee and hasn’t been on the bench in the last couple of games at all.”

Jackett added: “Remember Danny Schofield was on the bench for Yeovil when we signed him and we aren’t perhaps going to sign the established big name players.

“It doesn’t always work that way and if you look right through my signings, they’ve all come in hungry and with a point to prove.

“That is something I look for in signings as well.

“Somebody who has been out of it with a point to prove is a big thing for me personally as well.

“It is very important that player comes in hungry and wants to do well.”
