Discover historic St Albans during Heritage Open Days

HISTORIC sites across St Albans and Harpenden opened up their doors to visitors yesterday for a four-day event.

The Heritage Open days, which is held across the country, aims to celebrate buildings and landmarks of historic or architectural significance.

The event kicked-off yesterday during which visitors are in for a chance to discover many hidden gems of the district for free.

Whether it be the Grade II listed Midland Railway signal box or the old courthouse there is something for all the family to enjoy.
