Last year saw the introduction of Family Law Vouchers / Divorce Vouchers as gifts. How many of us know someone within our friendship circle or within our family unit who could do with some good legal advice on a family law matter.

It is correct that Christmas through to March/April is a family law solicitor’s busiest period. The stresses of Christmas coupled with the inspiration of a New Year for a new life and clean slate lead to an influx of family law enquiries.

Giving somebody the gift of an hour session with a family law solicitor is a great idea. The meeting is confidential, it could be by e-mail or telecon and importantly, it doesn’t show up on their statement because you have paid for it.

How often do we hear the threats ‘If you leave me, I will make sure you never see the children again!’ or ‘If you leave me, I won’t pay you a penny and you will be homeless!’..... If believed, these threats can keep you in a relationship that is abusive and one that you are perhaps better out of.

Knowing your legal rights in a troubled relationship is empowering.

The voucher is not in written form. There is no presentation folder for the other half to find. You simply give the name of the person that you are buying for and we will credit their account with your gift. If they don’t redeem it within 3 months, you get a full refund!

Best regards Harjit Sarang
