CAMPAIGN group STRiFE, which is opposing plans for a large railfreight terminal to be built on the Green Belt near Park Street, will be allowed to appear at the High Court hearing.
Cathy Bolshaw from the group told yesterday of the good news from a High Court judge.
They were facing a court freeze-out after would-be developers Helioslough had objected to them attending the three-day hearing set for June.
Cathy said: "Common sense has prevailed. We are now considering our position regarding funding."
In August last year the company trying to win planning permission for a large goods yard on a former airfield near Park Street lodged papers with the court.
It is challenging the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government Eric Pickles, who dismissed its appeal on July 8.
The appeal will be heard at the High Court on Tuesday, June 28. It is expected to last three days.
The Secretary of State and St Albans District Council are opposing the legal challenge.
