CHILDREN in Welwyn Garden City will be invited to try their hands at a new ball game alongside an Olympic medallist.
Badminton star Gail Emms MBE will be on hand at the Moneyhole Lane playing fields to formally unveil a new Street Snooker wall game.
Paid for with £5,000 of community chest funding from Panshanger ward councillors Darren Bennett, Roger Trigg and Sara Johnston, the game, which combines football with snooker, encourages players to kick a ball at alternating red and coloured targets.
It will be unveiled on Tuesday, February 22, from 10.30am. Players will also have the chance to rub shoulders with word record-breaking freestyle soccer star John Farnworth.
