Retailer of the Year: nominate your favourite hair and beauty salon

Wilde About Hair proved to be cream of the crop winning the Hair and Beauty category Wilde About Hair proved to be cream of the crop winning the Hair and Beauty category

Last year the title of St Albans’ number one hair and beauty salon was claimed by Wilde About Hair, who claimed a deserved victory at our Retailer of the Year awards.

The award, presented by former Chamber of Commerce president Sandra Oldfield, was hotly contested by Champneys, Greys, Artisan Haircutters and Village Arcade Barbers – each of whom will be fighting hard for success in the 2011 competition.

And this year the competition looks equally as intense as more entries arrive every day.

But who do you think is a cut above the rest when it comes to hair and beauty? Who do you put your faith in when it comes to cut and blow dry or other beauty treatments?

You can now nominate your favourite retailers and see their hard work and professionalism awarded at our gala awards evening, which will once again be held at the Alban Arena on June 20.

Nominations can also be made in five other categories: fashion and accessories; specialist shops; markets trader; restaurants and cafes, and food and drink.

All nominations should be received by midnight on May 13. After this date our team of mystery shoppers will hit the streets, putting each and every retailer to the test.

All nominated retailers will also be sent a window poster to advertise their elite status.

The competition is a joint initiative between the Review, St Albans District Council, St Albans Civic Society and St Albans District Chamber of Commerce.

To nominate a retailer simply fill in the form on this page and send it to the specified address. You can also text the name of the trader you want to nominate by texting the word ‘retailer’ followed by the name and address of the business to 80360. Texts cost 50p.

You can also nominate by filling out the form in this week’s Review or by clicking here and filling out our online nomination form: Nomination form You can also email your entry to revieweditor@london.newsquest.co.uk
