THE frantic social life of a curious cat from Harpenden is being documented in a memoir, which will be published later this year.
Aged just six months, Nancy's insatiable thirst for adventure had become apparent to owner Melissa Tredinnick.
The mischievious moggy was known to jump into people's parked cars in the street, finding herself stranded at various destinations many miles away from her Marquis Lane home.
A Facebook page to follow Nancy's travels was set up last year, Nancy Small-town cat, which was followed by a blog.
A year-and-a-half later Nancy's zest for exploration has been noted in a book named “Sex and the Kitty – a celebrity meowmoir”.
Melissa said: “Nancy has kept up her frenetic social lifestyle and we still get several phone calls a week from people saying she has made her way into their home and is refusing to leave.
“The only difference now is that most people seem to have heard of her and know how she operates. So, to a certain extent, we don't worry about her so much when she disappears.”
The book is being published in the UK, United States and Germany in September.
