PANTO stars from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will bring in the festive season in St Albans this weekend.

The Christmas market and lights switch on will take place on Sunday, November 20.

Toyah Willcox, and the cast of Alban Arena pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, will join the Mayor of St Albans in St Peters Street, turning on the lights at 5,30pm.

A variety of stars will be performing throughout the day, including magician Sonic, who featured in ITV's Penn & Teller: Fool Us, and the St Albans Rock Choir on stage from 2pm.

The event, hosted by Kerry Cobb and the Hearts Angels, starts at 10am with a Christmas market and funfair, as well as a visit from Father Christmas.

Other performers include Excel Performing Arts, Dance Academy UK, Living the Dream, and Ricky Lopez's Back to the 60s Michael Bublé show. Late night shopping is also due to begin in St Albans city centre tomorrow.

Traders in the Maltings, Christopher Place and St Peters Street will open late every Thursday in the lead up to Christmas.
