Bramble Model Railway Club layouts represented countries around the world

A SPECIAL Olympic-themed exhibiton was held by the Bramble Model Railway Club this weekend.

To celebrate London 2012, the event at Harpenden Public Halls on Saturday, January 21, had a sporty twist.

The different layouts represented countries from around the world including Team GB.

Club chairman Harvey Foster said visitor numbers are not as high as they used to be, and compared to last year's annual exhibition he calculated there were about 100 fewer people who turned out this weekend.

He added: "I think for the current economic climate it's not bad, our takings were down but I was pleased with how it went.

"The Olympic theme seemed to go down well with the visitors."
