Car crashes into tree in Wheathampstead

A MAN has been rushed to hospital after the car he was driving crashed in a Wheathampstead road and flipped onto its bonnet.

Paramedics were called the B651 near Nomansland just before 7am this morning.

When the ambulance arrived the car was upright on its bonnet against a tree, close to the Wicked Lady pub.

Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: "The man who we believe to be in his 30s was treated at the scene by the ambulance crew before he was taken to Watford General Hospital for further care."
