Harpenden residents invited to crime prevention event

Residents in Harpenden are being invited to a crime prevention morning held in West Common on Friday February 24.

Officers from the South Harpenden safer neighbourhood team are hosting the event between 11am and 12 noon in the layby opposite Netherfield Road, near to the junction of Beesonend Lane.

There will be an opportunity to meet local neighbourhood officer PC Emma Collins and South Harpenden neighbourhood watch area co-ordinator Paul Gardiner.

PC Emma Collins said: "We will be giving advice on home security and can arrange a free home visit if further help is required. We will also have information for people to take away and hope to sign up those residents who are not currently on the neighbourhood watch system."
