A wine tasting event in St Albans has raised more than £900 for two local charities.
Guests had the chance to sample wines from France, Spain and Italy during the evening, which was organised to raise money for St Albans and Hertsmere Women’s Refuge and Sure-Start St Albans.
David Gill, an expert from from Bottle Green Ltd, was on hand to offer advice on what to look for in a bottle of wine at the event, which was held at the Town Hall on February 10.
St Albans Mayor Aislinn Lee said: "This was a wonderful, fun evening where everyone enjoyed themselves. Not only did they get to sample good wines from around the world, they also learned about the art of wine tasting along the way.
"I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the evening which has helped raise money for two worthy causes close to my heart."
