Woman taken to hospital after car crash in Bedmond Lane, St Albans

A woman has been taken to hospital following a car crash in St Albans this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Bedmond Lane, near the Holly Bush pub, at around 12.30pm after a crash involving a van and a blue Vauxhall Corsa.

The woman, who had been travelling in the car, was taken to hospital after complaining of neck and back pain.

The road was completely blocked by the accident and remained closed until just after 2pm.
