WELWYN Garden City guitarist David Massey performed at London's Wigmore Hall last Thursday as part of his reward for reaching the final of the BBC Young Musician of the Year.
Only the second guitarist ever to reach this stage of the competition, 18-year-old David performed a lunchtime recital to around 100 people.
Afterwards he was presented with a silver frame by BBC sponsor, the Tabor Foundation, in recognition of his achievements.
His next performance will be at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts in Maidenhead, on Sunday, October 22.
Later this year he will tour the Middle East with the other BBC finalists.
