POLICE have appealed for information following an attempted murder in St Albans yesterday.
Officers were called to The Close, off Praetorian Court, at 10.27am to reports of a shooting. A man aged 24 was taken to hospital suffering gunshot wounds. He remains in a stable condition.
Later in the day two men from St Albans, aged 21 and 22, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. They are currently in custody.
Detective Inspector Jerome Kent, from the major crime unit, said: "While we have spoken with a number of people as part of our investigations we are aware there will have been others in the area yesterday morning who we have not spoken to.
"If you were in the area and can help or have any information which would assist our investigation then please contact police."
Police believe the people involved are known to each other.
