A WOMAN whose car was badly damaged when it hit a pothole has warned the crumbling road could be lethal.
Julie Dunham's Saab suffered damage estimated at £1,000 when it hit a hole four feet long and seven inches deep in Lye Lane, Bricket Wood early on Thursday morning.
She said: "It was quite a shock - when I got home I found both my wheels and tyres were ruined.
"It has come at a bad time, and as I have to take three weeks off for an operation and I won't be paid.
"If somebody hits that pothole with the front wheel of a motorbike it will kill them.
"Roads should not be left in such a dangerous state."
She lives in Pondfield Crescent in St Albans, and works shifts in a care home in Bricket Wood.
