CUSTOMERS delayed by 30 minutes or more on First Capital Connect trains in the recent months of delays and cancellations can apply for compensation.
Last week the Review reported on a meeting held at St Albans District Council where councillors invited a representative from the rail company to discuss concerns raised by residents.
As a result of the talks an improved compensation package was agreed.
FCC's website informs commuters today: “Customers are entitled to claim for specific journeys delayed by 30 minutes or more under the delay repay scheme.
“In recognition of the extreme disruption to services and the inconvenience that this has caused Thameslinkseason ticket holders, we are finalising plans for additional refunds.
“Details of this scheme will be made available as soon as possible. In the meantime please retain your season ticket as these will be needed to make your claim.”
