HERTFORDSHIRE County Council has confirmed a road in St Albans is due for resurfacing to repair a series of potholes.
Readers have complainted of “small craters” plaguing the districts roads since the big freeze earlier this year.
Speaking about Woodstock Road South John Camp, spokesman for the county council, said: “These would have been temporary repairs which are being used on this road at present as it is due for resurfacing work in the spring/summer.
“Unfortunately the floods, freeze, thaw action of the weather over the recent months does cause damage to road surfacing and can cause repairs to come out again – this is not a reflection on the standard of the work.”
He added that permanent patch repairs would have been carried out with immediate effect to Woodstock Road South if no subsequent work is planned.
