A CHARITY volunteer who makes up one half of a dedicated fundraising duo has expressed her delight at being nominated for a Community Gold Award.
Mary Cutler joined forces with Margaret Hill 15 years ago to start up a fundraising mission for Grove House Hospice.
Over the years their drive to support the cause has resulted in around £20,000 being raised for the service.
Speaking to the Review Mary, 72, of Beech Road, said: "I think it's great to be nominated. We have been doing it for a long time now ever since Grove House started.
"After our boys left the cubs we thought Grove House was a good local cause to raise money for.
"Most people want to donate money because they know people at the hospice or have known someone who was cared for by the hospice."
