- Sarah Jane Shaw, 43, of Sunnydell, Chiswell Green. On March 2, 2014, drove in Burydell Lane, Park Street, after consuming so much alcohol the proportion in breath was 49 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Fine, costs: £160. Banned from driving for 12 months, to be reduced by three months if approved course undertaken.
- Norman Gordon Thomson, 72, of Grosvenor Road, St Albans. On March 2, 2014, drove in Drakes Drive, St Albans, after consuming so much alcohol the proportion in breath was 109 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Fine, costs: £453. Banned from driving for 24 months, to be reduced by 24 weeks if approved course undertaken.
- Robert Edward Dunham, 44, of Loire Mews, Harpenden. On August 14, 2013, at Harpenden, stole one Les Miserables DVD worth £11.99 from Sainsbury’s, Harpenden. Fine, compensation, costs: £431.99.
- Barbara Harvey, 77, of Park Avenue, St Albans. On September 18, 2013, was the person in whose name a vehicle was registered which did not meet the insurance requirements of the Road Traffic Act. Fine, costs: £330.
