This is a disgrace! The council are saying our car parks are on average a 50% empty! No wonder over 60 shops have shut locally in the last year. The council needs to cut the cost of parking & introduce free parking to encourage shoppers. This council is anti business! − fight ratesCity car parks with spare capacity 'good news'
It is strange that a company would invest in what looks to me like an expensive shop refit & then close within a few months. Especially as they are expanding the company & opening new stores nationally. It must be that the landlord is asking too much rent, together with the highest business rates in the world that have gone up for the last 22 years in a row. Landlords, the Government & the council have to reduce rent, rates & parking charges or shops will leave this city. − fight ratesBargain store closes down
