St Albans member's claims for communications

UNPUBLISHED details of St Albans MP Anne Main's expenses have gone on-line this morning, revealing she has claimed for calling cards, posters and door-to-door delivery.

The MP gave the Review copies of her “additional costs allowance”, detailing her claims on her controversial flat in St Albans for 2005/6 to 2007/8.

But now parliamentary authorities, in response to a Freedom of Information Act request, have published her claims for communication expenses.

These reveal that in February 2008 Mrs Main claimed for £1,647, paid to the Royal Mail for delivering literature to nearly 34,000 homes.

In September 2007, she claimed £1,247 for personal calling cards and a further £549 for 1,000 posters.

Well done to Anne Main for using the Royal Mail to distribute her leaflets. If Lord Mandelscum's plan to 'part privatise' the postal network goes ahead it could well be some foreign owned company that will benefit.Thankyou Anne Main for your patriotism.
