Anne Main faces expenses inquiry

ANNE MAIIN faces a Parliamentary inquiry for allegedly spending thousands of pounds of taxpayers' money on a flat where her daughter lived rent-free.

As reported in last month's Review the St Albans MP was accused of misusing her Commons allowances by registering her city centre flat as her second home even though she has a large house 25 miles away in Beaconsfield, Bucks, and no regular accommodation in the capital.

The news comes after complaints were made by constituents to John Lyon, the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards.

Full story to follow shortly.
