Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault took place in Hatfield.

The offence occurred on Wednesday, May 1 at 2.30pm in the Kennelwood Car Park on Queensway. The victim, a man in his 30s, was a passenger in a car which was parked when he was approached by the driver of another vehicle who assaulted him.

The victim sustained injuries to his head, chest and back.

The offender is described as an Indian or Pakistani man, aged in his mid-20s. He was of an athletic build, approximately 5ft 11ins tall and had short dark brown hair.

A member of the public has then assisted the victim, but left before police arrived. Police are keen to talk to this witness who may be able to assist with their investigation.
