---------------------- "I, like everyone im sure, was appalled at the scenes of criminality and moreover, a total lack of regard shown for the safety of others during these riots. There is no excuse for this behaviour, but now the situation seems to have calmed down, inquests can be made into to the underlying causes behind it.

I did not think it likely that these chaotic scenes would reach Welwyn Hatfield, but was disturbed to hear the many rumours circulating that they had. I think it is important for people to be mature and objective during times such as this, and not spread unsubstantiated gossip"
