Harpenden Primary Schools had great fun taking part in a Story Writing Competition last week. Winners were chosen by a panel of experts who read the wide selection of anonomised entries and then selected their favourite from each age phase. The authors of the best stories were then invited to a prize giving ceremony with the Mayor, Mary Maynard.

Sara Prince, Deputy Head at The Grove Infant and Nursery School, set up the challenge and was delighted with the results. 'It is inspiring to read these amazing stories - the children have fantastic imaginations and a real grasp of what makes a good story. We are very proud of their achievements'.
