Theatre round-up June 12

FANCY travelling back to 1920s New York for a viscous gangwar involving custard pies, singing, dancing and a hero's attempt to stop the dreaded splurge gun?

Well Rare Productions Youth Theatre Group's production of the famous story singer-turned-saviour Bugsy Malone at The Elgiva this week.

The production will include flying custard pies between gang leaders Dandy Dan and Fat Sam, who recruits Malone to save his empire.

The all-singing and dancing show kicks off from 7.30pm on Thursday and runs until Saturday, June 20. Tickets cost £11 (£9 conc) from www.elgiva.com or 01494 582900.

Chesham Bois Catholic Players will be performing number one hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s taking you ‘back to your roots’ in their show Number One.

The large group of vocalists will be performing all the hits from musics 'golden era', accompanied by five piece band, Rocking Derek B.

All tickets are seated and attendees are allowed to bring refreshments to enjoy during the show.

The performances will be get under way from 7:30pm on Friday, June 19, Saturday, June 20 and Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27 at The Little Theatre by the Park in Chesham.
