JANE Austen with bondage? We always suspected there was a bit of pent-up sexuality going on behind all those ruffled shirts and laced-up corsets, but by golly, this ITV bodice-ripping adaptation is really rather naughty.

It was a bit like finding Mr Darcy in a soft porn video.

When Henry Tilney meets heroine Catherine and takes her home to his family seat, little does he realise what a vivid imagintion she has.

Cue foppish dance routines intercut with bonnet-popping sequences featuring chains, whips and nudity.

Was this for real? Happily not, the girl was only dreaming.
