MONKEY business returns to the The Horn next Saturday when a sextet of DJs play a mix of dance music and party tunes.
The Monday Club resident DJs have formed a super group called The Unwise Monkeys and have organised a one-off night as part of the Victoria Street venue's Monday Club.
The group are all local lads: Hansi (The Monday Club head honcho), Beardo (Portable Deluxe, Breakbeat Carnage) and Rob Focuz (Apply The Breaks) plus scratchers Max Thief & Vinyl Ritchie and last but certainly not least, Monkeynuts MC on the microphone.
Also, Jimmy Mofo of MOFO Magazine, which has won best breakbeat magazine for the last two years running at the international Breaks Awards, and DJ WKD, who plays on BBC 1XTRA, Breaks FM and RAW FM, will both be on the decks before the Monkey boys invade the stage.
Local DJs Boomer and Helix will begin proceedings in the front bar at 7pm to get things going.
Local sound company Sub Zero Audio Visual, who provide sound systems for MTV, Ministry Of Sound and Tribal Gathering, will be bringing down one of their Funktion 1 sound systems to blast out the tunes.
The event runs from 7pm to 1am and the entry fee is £5.
