More than 1,000 pilgrims made their annual journey to St Albans Abbey on Easter Monday.
Blessed by intermittent bouts of sunshine the pilgrims, some of whom had walked up to 15 miles to attend, enjoyed picnics in the Abbey grounds before heading inside for a service of thanksgiving.
