Harvesters held to Omonia Gold draw

The opening goal was scored by striker William Robinson but an unfortunate own goal brought the scores level. Man-of-the-match was Ryan O’Sullivan.

Harvesters East Under-9s put on a gallant fightback against St Albans Rangers Red but lost 7-2. Joseph Burgess scored twice for Harvesters and was named their star player.

The Under-10s North let a goal in during the dying seconds to draw 2-2 with London Maccabi Whites. Two quality goals came from Josh Forster and a great header by Henry O’ Connor.

The Under-10 East team cruised to a 4-0 win against Finchley Revolution with Hamish Michie opening the scoring. George Thomas then netted twice, and a forced own goal sealed the victory. Man-of-the-match was Jamie Willing.

Despite only having eight players, Harvesters North Under-11s beat Cassiobury Rangers 2-0 with goals from Sean Powell and Edward Cleaver.

Harvesters Under-11 South lost 5-3 to London Colney despite a heroic performance in defence by the excellent Luke Findlay. Goals were scored by Lewis Murray, George Davies and Harry Ruane.

The Under-11 Girls moved into second place in Division One with a 4-1 victory over local rivals St Albans City. Star player Annika Hanton opened the scoring only for St Albans to level but Harvesters again went ahead with a fine strike by Rachel King.

Annika grabbed her second and Amalie Newman-Booth rounded off the win with a solo effort late in the second half.

Harvesters Girls Under-12s were unlucky in their 1-0 loss to Bishop Stortford. As much as the girls tried the ball just wouldn’t hit the back of the net. Player of the match was awarded to Sofia Johanson.

A superb all-round team performance saw Harvesters Under-12s North win at top of the table AEK Eagles Black 3-0 thanks to goals from Amir Berchil, Louie Roberts and Finbar King.

Harvesters Under-12 South executed their game plan to come away with a deserved 3-1 against Cassiobury Rangers. The scorers were Jack Hawthorne, George Hayford and Tejas Mauree. Jo Caswell was named man-of-the-match.

In a game dominated by Harvesters, the Under-12 East unfortunately lost 3-2 away to Whetstone Panthers with both efforts being scored by Harry Warmsley.

Harvesters Under-13 Girls put in a quality performance and slammed five past a good Garston Ladies team with another hat-trick by the in-form Julia Draper. Star player was Maya Yapp who was at the heart of many of the girls’ attacking play and blasted in a goal of her own.

The Under-13 South started off with an early lead of five goals which gave them the motive to score four in the next half, with the final result being a 9-2 win over Bushey.

Tom Naylor was the top scorer with four while Ollie Russell hit a hat-trick and Mario Integlia and Rhys Appleyard scored one apiece. Greg Jones was named man-of-the-match.

Harvesters Under-14 North defeated Omonia White 5-3 in the league. Luke Simpson grabbed a hat-trick with one each from Ellis Douglas and Tom Goodall. Man-of-the-match went to Charlie Goodchild.

The Under-15 North produced their best performance of the season to overcome St Albans City North 5-3 in a close-fought local derby match. Two goals each from Nathan Dimmock and Myles Shahidi put the game beyond St Albans’ reach before Lumi Sopa added to the tally to seal the win.

Eddie Amato was the pick of the side with a strong defensive performance.

Harvesters Under-15s South battled hard against Potters Bar United which led them to a 1-0 victory with James Cleaver scoring.

The Under-16s South dominated higher division Pinnacle throughout their League Cup match winning 3-1 with goals from Sam Nevin, George Robbins and James Banathy. Cody Gray was named man-of-the-match.

The Under-16s North progressed to the fourth round of the County Cup after beating Letchworth Garden City Eagles 5-2.

North twice came from behind with goals from James Lynch and a classy team effort from Liam Robinson which he started on the halfway line.

Pressure paid-off in the second half with a second goal from Robinson, an own goal and a debut Connor Yapp effort.
