St Albans Ladies earned a 2-1 win at Chelmsford in the National League.

The visitors went 1-0 up in the first-half through Megan Crowson who finished following a fine pass from Sammie Archer.

Chelmsford found an equaliser from a short corner which left Anthea Outridge powerless to prevent the leveller.

St Albans dug deep to find a late winner when Holly Parsons followed-up after Crowson’s dragged flick from a short corner was blocked.

On Sunday St Albans were beaten 1-0 by league leaders Sevenoaks.

The match was marred by inconsistent refereeing which saw St Albans denied a penalty when a Sevenoaks player blocked a goal bound effort on the line.

St Albans Boadiceas drew 3-3 with Potters Bar.

The Boadiceas came from behind to secure a draw against Potters Bar.

Despite trouncing them 8-1 in their previous encounter before Christmas, St Albans started slowly and found themselves 2-0 down at half-time.

Two goals in two second half minutes restored parity as first Kelli Seagrave and latterly Helen Anton both struck to bring the score back to 2-2.

Lou Jackman then added a third for the Boadiceas who were cruelly denied two minutes from time as Potters Bar rallied to find an equaliser.

St Albans Sevenths returned to action with a 3-3 draw against Broxbourne.

St Albans overcame a slow start in the contest to claim a draw having found themselves two goals behind at half-time.

Despite a poor first-half showing, St Albans took the lead through Andre Jennings following good work down the right-hand side from Charlie Beedle.

St Albans undid all their good work thereafter, conceding three soft goals to hand Broxbourne a two-goal advantage going in to the second-half.

A rasping John Pritchard shot from a penalty corner and an effort from Beedle rescued the draw.
