Harvesters draw with rivals London Colney

Harvesters Under-9 North earned a 2-2 draw at rivals London Colney on Sunday.

The team's goals came from Ryan O'Sullivan and William Robinson.

In their top of the table clash Harvesters North Under-10 put in a great team performance to beat Whetstone Tigers 4-2. Jack McShane netted a brace and singles came from Josh Forster and Henry O'Connor.

After dominating the possession and producing the most chances, the Under-10 East were desperately unlucky to come away empty handed from their encounter with Edmonton Rangers Cobras. Benny Stacey led from the front with a fine performance but the 3-0 result flattered the victors.

In a toughly contested game Harvesters Under-10 West beat Edmonton Rangers 2-1. Goals by Leo Gordon-Brown and match winner by man-of-the-match Dan Carini.

Harvesters Under-11s North lost 3-2 to Cassiobury Rangers Tigers in a tight game with goals from Jamie Armstrong and Edward Cleaver.

The Under-11 South lost 5-2 to Northwood White despite the efforts of man-of-the-match Zak Bensissi and efforts from Shai Coombs and Lewis Murray.

Harvesters Under-11 Girls were robbed of a well deserved draw in a hard fought top of the table clash with Hampstead.The opposition took the lead early in the second half but Harvesters kept playing their passing game and Emily Gionvanni scored late in the second half to end a great move. Just when a draw looked certain the referee gave an inexplicable free-kick on the edge of the area, which Hampstead converted in the last seconds for the win.

Despite dominating possession for most of the game, the Under-12 South had to equalise in the last minute to salvage a 2-2 draw with Belmont. The goalscorers were Scott Gentle and man-of-the-match Jack Hawthorne.

In their first game since the start of January, the Under-12 East lost 7-3 at home to Edmonton Rangers. Ben Robinson was on the scoresheet twice for the home side with Josh Edwards bagging the third. Sam Angel was man-of-the-match.

Harvesters Girls Under-12s comfortably ran out 9-0 winners over Berkhamsted Raiders. Goalscorers included Carly Amor, Emma Archer, Rebecca Ailles, Olivia Corbett, Tilly Moss with a brace and Millie Guest scoring a hat-trick. The player of the match was Sabrina Spring.

The Under-12s North moved into the semi-finals of the League Cup after beating Enfield Rangers 3-0 thanks to two goals from Amir Berchil and one from William Brothwood.

Harvesters Under-13s North beat Whetstone Tigers 3-0 in the Challenge Cup with three exquisite finishes from man-of-the-match Bradley James, Ashley Willing and Thomas Levy ensuring a well deserved victory.

The Under-13 Girls put in a great performance to beat tabletoppers Enfield 2-1. They attacked fluently and goals from Rebecca McShane and Bolu Fisher put them 2-0 up early in the second half. However, Enfield pulled one back and put the girls under considerable pressure but they defended really well with Ciara Robinson superb at the back.

Harvesters Under-15 North failed to capitalise on their first-half lead in the League Cup match against Hadley Wood & Wingate which they lost 2-1. The home team scored twice in the second half to win the tie with Sam Gisby the Harvesters’ sole goalscorer.

In a nail-biting top of the table clash, Harvesters Under-15s South drew 3-3 with Muswell Hill Tigers. Ali Jones, James Grisley and Gabriel Connolly netted for Harvesters.

The Under-16s North triumphed 2-1 at Edmonton Rangers Leopards in this Red Division tussle. North edged a close first half thanks to a 35m thunderbolt from Connor Yapp with the ball going through the keepers’ legs.

Leopards created a number of good second-half chances, hitting the post before levelling from a long flighted free-kick which evaded the defence. Yapp grabbed the winner five minutes from time leaping highest to head in from a corner. Polito Parazan-Butler was the pick of their side.

Harvesters Under-16 South drew 2-2 with Garston after goals from James Banathy and Sam Nevin.

The Under-18 Girls defeated Garston Ladies 4-1. Kris del Gaudio impressed in goal while efforts from Nicola Dark, Sabrina Monastero, Frankie Murray and Ellie Bergin sealed the win.
