London Colney thrash Leverstock Green

London Colney were in ruthless form as they eased to an 8-3 win at Leverstock Green in the South Midland Premier Division.
The visitors opened the scoring after ten minutes when Spencer Clarke-Mardel fired the ball home from close range.
Clarke-Mardel netted again to give Colney a 2-0 lead before Matt Collins added another after chipping the goalkeeper.
The hosts pulled one back when Prince Alozie tucked the ball past Charlie May but the goalscorer was then sent off for striking out at Greg Shaw.
Martin Collins made it 4-1 with a fierce long-range strike which flew past the goalkeeper. Matt Newman then got on the scoresheet when he hooked the ball home from ten yards out.
Terri Miller pulled another back for Leverstock Green but the visitors scored a sixth goal when Tom Smith headed against the bar and reacted quickly to fire in the rebound.
Jose Figura replied for the home side but Martin Collins netted at the second attempt for Colney.
Their final goal came when Newman smashed the ball past the helpless goalkeeper.
London Colney Colts Under-8s showed their class in a one-sided match against Omonia Green.
In a quality display, Tommy Roberts scored three goals, Antonio Jackson-Ruiz netted two while Sebastian Ferdinand, Johnny Fox, and Harry Western scored one each.
The Under-9s continued their winning run with a thumping 6-1 victory away to Hadley Rangers.
Soames Haldankar scored a hat-trick, and man-of-the-match Alfie Chambers scored two.
Paddy Cassidy also netted in a game which was dominated by Colney's quality.
