St Albans Rangers ease past Oakhill Tigers

St Albans Rangers Under-12 Reds eased to a 6-1 win over Oakhill Tigers Cubs in the WFL Under-12 Challenge Cup.
The team went a goal up after a great run and shot from Louis Shaw was parried into the path of Oli Taits who tapped the ball home.
Captain Amjad Choudary was running the midfield and netted the next goal with his neat finish. But Oakhill pulled one back before the break.
Shaw set up Choudary for his second goal before a Jack Kerr corner was smashed home for 4-1 by Ben Taylor.
Kerr won a penalty which he converted for their fifth goal.
Some good link-up play between Sam Brooks and David Brinkley set up Taylor for his second goal which completed a comprehensive win.
Man-of-the-match went to Oli Taits for his goal, work rate in tracking back and simple use of the ball.
Rangers Under-11 Reds went down 4-1 against Potters Bar United in the league.
Both sides played some good football but the side were undone by a failure to mark at two successive corners giving free headers to the opposition.
The second half started and Potters Bar struck immediately with a well-worked goal.
The majority of the rest of the game saw Rangers dominate and create chances leading to a stunning free-kick from Bradley Young.
Right at the death an unfortunate own goal made the scoreline look worse than the actual game.
