Young players hoping to follow in the footsteps of golfing superstars such as Rory McIlroy, and Lee Westwood have enjoyed a taste of the sport with the expert PGA professionals at Aldwickbury Park Golf Club.
The Harpenden club hosted a junior coaching session on the nine-hole short course.
Youngsters attending the camps benefited from the tutelage of Aldwickbury Park’s PGA professionals, learning all the basics of the game including putting, chipping and even taking part in a nearest-to-the-pin team competition, with the winners taking home a sleeve of golf balls.
Andrew Shewbridge, general manager at Aldwickbury Park Golf Club, said: “Our popular junior coaching camps offer youngsters a chance to get to grips with the basics of the game and progress through to more advanced skills and techniques.”
