Hatfield Bowls Club men picked up a home win against Potters Bar.

Their top rink featured Ted Calvert, Roy Seaman, Kevin Hull and Roy Edwards.

The team travelled to Northaw and Cuffley and picked up a decent victory.

Hatfield also proved too strong at home to Ware on Sunday.

The team of Richard Lush, Marilyn Hedger, Peggy and John Pike won 26-13 in the Stockman Winsor Trophy against a team from Hemel Hempstead.

Hatfield Ladies won a place in the semi finals of the double rink competition by beating Oakhill. The home team of Barbara Albrecht, Peggy Pike, Helen Winch and Dee Morrison drew 21-21. The away team of Mary Banks, Marilyn Hedger, Jackie Bell and Val Batts won 23 -14.

In the triple league, Hatfield Ladies beat Welwyn & District. The home team of Barbara Albrecht, Mary Bank and Dee Morrison won 21-18 and the away side of Jackie Bell, Helen Winch and Kathleen Cottington won 22-16.
