London Colney eased to a 3-0 home win over Holmer Green in the South Midlands Premier Division on Saturday.

The Blueboys opened the scoring midway through the first half when Greg Shaw headed home a cross from Cain Davey.

The hosts dominated the contest but had to wait until the 82nd minute to extend their lead. Jimmy Hartley ran into the box but was tripped in the area. He stepped up and sent the keeper the wrong way to seal the victory.

London Colney added the third goal when Jason Beck was brought down in the box by Sean Cahill. Beck struck the penalty straight down the middle to round off a comfortable win for the home side.

The Blueboys travel to Maldon and Tiptree in the FA Cup preliminary round this weekend.
