St Albans ladies’ second team extended their lead at the top of East of England Division One to seven points after a 2-1 victory at Bishops Stortford.

A brace from Lexi Hamilton fired them to the win which means they only need one win to secure promotion to the Premier League.

The ladies Thirds also earned a point in Division Two with a 1-1 draw against Potters Bar after a goal from Em Thompson.

The men’s Fourths held Royston Seconds to a 2-2 draw after a brace from Matt Cade.

St Albans men’s Sevenths won 2-1 against Bedford Vets with goals from Harry Hemsi and Alex Schofield.

The Under-12 girls now sit at the top of Division One in the Chiltern Under-12 league after three wins in a row.

The club will be running an advanced hockey camp this Easter, along with their usual junior hockey camp.

The advanced camp will be for players aged between 14 and 19 and both advanced and junior camps will benefit from specialist coaching from England internationals James Bailey and Ellie Watton.
