St Albans suffered their second straight defeat in Herts Cricket League Division Two A after losing by 81 runs at Holtwhites Trinibis.
The home side batted first and they posted a respectable, if not insurmountable, total of 166 from 48.3 overs.
But any hope St Albans had of claiming victory was ended after a dismal batting display. The visitors were poor throughout their innings and were dismissed with just 85 runs on the board.
