St Albans Hockey Club’s men’s team claimed a 2-0 win over Blueharts on Saturday.

Matt Davey scored a drag flick and Martin Scanlon converted a short corner to clinch the victory.

The thirds won 3-2 against Richmond while the men’s fifth team hammered home five goals in a 5-0 victory against Broxbourne.

The men’s sixth team drew 4-4 with Welwyn Garden City and the men’s eighths won 1-0 against Potters Bar in a tight match.

St Albans ladies were held to a 0-0 draw at Harleston Magpies.

The seconds celebrated a win over Broxbourne after a dominant team performance and three goals from striker Fiona Nekeman.

The win leaves the team sitting comfortably in the middle of the East of England Premier League.

The thirds were also celebrating after beating Hertford 3-0 with a goal from Gemma Little and a brace from Rebecca Burton.

St Albans ladies fourths drew 2-2 with Stevenage after Charlotte Moore and Nikki Davies scored for the Tangerines.

The Boadiceas also secured a hard-fought point following a goal from Sian Ireland in their 1-1 draw with Letchworth.

The ladies fifth team won 3-2 against Tring with goals from Jordan Beaumont-Wraith, Elisabeth Puglisi and Hannah Rossi.
