Four junior members of Redbourn Golf Club participated in last month’s Wee Wonders British Championship Final held at St Andrews’ Old Course.

Fleur Butler-Wright, Sophia Fullbrook, Eddie Wade and Annabelle Wade, all aged between six and 11, qualified for the event through one of 20 qualifying rounds in the country.

Accompanied by Redbourn PGA Professional James Blake, the quartet competed at the two day event, with juniors from as far afield as Qatar and Denmark having travelled to the home of golf to participate.

The news is an example of the club’s dedication to supporting the development of junior golf, and comes following a summer during which Redbourn gave away 30 free memberships to local juniors.

Junior members at Redbourn have full access to the facilities, which include the main 18-hole course, the nine-hole short course, as well as a range of extensive practice areas.
