Verulamians eased to a 39-0 home win over Bank of England in Herts Middlesex One on Saturday.

From the kick off Vees went on the attack and gained territory and sustained the attack which culminated in the ball being shipped along the line to winger Alessandro Ricci who touched down in the corner.

From a lineout, the forwards drove forward 15m and the ball was spun along the line for Ricci to score in the corner again.

Vees were soon on the attack again and Ricci gathered the ball on the wing with 30m to the line where he managed to squirm through three tackles to burst over the line for his third try to give them a 15-0 lead at the break.

The Vees attack soon got to work and within five minutes the ball was spun wide to Tim Chase-Rangihuna on the wing to crash over in the corner.

Verulamians kept the pressure on and from a driving maul captain James Hayes dived over the line to score under the posts. Gareth Waters had a kickable chance at goal and duly converted making it 27-0.

Myles Costello was next to score as he crossed the line before Sam Crowne picked and went from the base of the scrum to round off a one-sided win.
