First-team coach Harry Wheeler takes charge of tonight's match at Oxhey Jets in the Herts Senior Cup as St Albans City continue their search for a new manager.
Joint-managers James Gray and Graham Golds resigned following the side’s 4-0 FA Trophy defeat at Lowestoft Town on Saturday.
Wheeler is also in line to pick the side for Saturday’s home league game with Margate.
It is understood that the club have had interest from several candidates for the vacant position but it is unclear whether the Saints will make a quick appointment.
The club's Reserve and Development squad manager Mark Swales has also been linked with the role.
